Tony Wygergangs was born in Holland and moved with his family to Canada when he was 15 years old. During high school, he started working for Bothwell Welders as a shop welder. After graduation, he continued his career at Bothwell Welders fulltime, and since then, there has been no looking back. In 1994 Tony joined New Horizon Steel’s welding shop eventually moving up and out into the field structural steel erection crew. Tony was crew leader when New Horizon Steel closed in 2010. It was then Tony, his wife Chris, along with his former business partner, decided to open DT Welding & Erections Inc.
DT Welding is a small family owned and run business. Chris and Tony have been married since 1995, and jumped at the opportunity in 2010 to start a business together, and to proudly welcome their two sons to the company. Tony is an active field foreman, as well as estimator. Chris provides the business support (office, accounts payable/receivable, etc). Brendan has completed his Ironworker apprenticeship, and is an active field journeyman and foreman, as well as lending a hand as estimator. Kyle is currently an apprentice with the Ironworkers, and is gaining valuable experience from his dad and brother. Another important DT Welding team member is Curtis Donais, who completed his apprenticeship with Brendan, and is now learning the role of foreman.
DT Welding & Erections Inc. specializes in industrial, commercial, and residential structural steel erection and miscellaneous metal installation. Located in Alvinston, Ontario, we are central to job sites in Southwestern Ontario including London, Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge, Hamilton, Sarnia, and Chatham.
